But she'll put those plans on hold for a minute, because Hayner's right there, and she'll have to pass him, and he's not usually one who doesn't try to engage in conversation if they so much as make eye contact.

... I'm okay. I think until we figure everything out, we're going to keep losing more people, so... it's not like I haven't been braced for that.

I get being braced for it, but it's still pretty messed up.

[ Not that he can ever get used to the idea of this being a thing. He's still hoping that maybe it'll be some elaborate trick. Everyone will be okay at the end of the game... right? ]

Last I checked, it was locked.

... And I don't think they'd be idiotic enough to just leave information out.

Even if they did, there's no way they'd leave anything helpful for us to find. They pretty much only tell us things when they feel like it.

[ He's already thinking over how to approach them to ask for a tour of their hut. ]

Maybe if we hit them up early enough they wouldn't be prepared.

I honestly think you're underestimating your enemy from the start.

[ Not like they would do anything... other than maybe take someone's eye or frame someone for murder. Nothing else will happen, right? ]

No... for now, I don't want to scout too far without knowing more about this island. But it doesn't look like it's advanced enough to have what I'd need for them.

Yeah, good point. I mean, there has to be a reason to stick to the paths? And I think I saw the chiefs come out of there all bloodied looking.

There really might be monsters out there. This kind of environment is probably ideal for them.

Monsters? For reals? [ There's no way, right? ] Maybe it's just...giant snakes and crazy plants? [ Giant man eating plants is much more normal than monsters, dude ]

You don't count a giant snake as a monster?

They are normal. People even keep them as pets.
