Week 5, Wednesday; Hiro

[ She honestly isn't sure what Serph's letter means-- and she knows it's from him, she'd know that symbol anywhere.

She's also not exactly sure she wants to enlist help figuring out what he's trying to tell her, but Serph is just like her: he wouldn't go through the trouble of doing something if it wasn't important.

So Fie squares her shoulders, wraps her scarf around her neck because that is currently the warmest thing she owns in her short shorts, and goes to possibly regret some things. Besides the weather. ]

... Hiro. I need your help.

[...sigh. He's just reaching into his pocket and pulling out Baymax's chip to hand to her.]

[sylfied]

[ Fie is at least holding it carefully. ]

It's a... computer thing.

[zerotohiro]

That's Baymax. [It has Tadashi's name on it, but that's his brobot.] Or, at least, his programming. His body's probably still at home.

[sylfied]

Oh.

[ again, she peers at the chip. And, quietly-- ]

Hi, Baymax.

[zerotohiro]

[He's on the floor with Salty still, but there's a small smile.]

...he would probably like you. He tends to get along with everybody though. He was designed to be a healthcare robot and respond positively to people which is why he looks like a walking marshmallow.

[sylfied]

It's kind of hard to hate a walking marshmallow. I'd probably like him too.

[zerotohiro]

At first I thought he was sort of annoying but I think that's just because Tadashi also programmed him to follow me around. I haven't found anything in his code but it wouldn't surprise me either.

[He's running his fingers through Salty's fur to shake off some of the snow.] I'm pretty sure he spent most of his time making sure I'd stay alive and out of trouble. And now that's Baymax's job. [And since Baymax isn't here, now it's Hiro's job to protect people.]

[sylfied]

[ Salty keeps trying to lick Hiro's hand, so may be making this difficult. Fie snorts softly, though. ]

I hope the others are able to keep you alive, then. I might not be able to do that for much longer.

[zerotohiro]

[Why are dogs this way???]

Nuh-uh. We're stopping all of the depressing "not around much longer" talk for now. Our hut is definitely a death-free zone for the night. [If only to take her mind off of it.]

[sylfied]

... Okay, got it. I'll shut up.

[ but she's pretty certain she's gonna die ]

[zerotohiro]

[He is too, but that doesn't mean they have to think about the death aspect.]

You don't have to shut up entirely? I just don't think it's really helpful for right now. It's been a really...really long week and it's only Wednesday.

[sylfied]

I know... a lot's happened.

[ A LOT... poor Mera. ]

[zerotohiro]

We can start worrying about everything tomorrow morning. At least we know what's coming on Thursdays, but...[He's going to turn Salty's face to Fie, grinning at her.] How can anyone be sad looking at this face?

[...easily, but y'know.]

[sylfied]

... I'm not really sad.

[ ... she's a little sad. ]

[zerotohiro]

Then whatever you call it. Exhaustion? Exasperation? One of those e-words?

[sylfied]

Mm... I guess both of those would work.

... Can I have the sheets back?

[ she dried off as much as she could!! ]

[zerotohiro]

[He looks confused for a brief moment.]

What? Oh! Yeah, whatever. [He's moving to grab them and sort of shove them toward her.] They're probably still a little warm anyway from your body heat.

[sylfied]

[ She's immediately latching on to them and snuggling down until she looks more like a sheet burrito than a Fie. ]

Thanks. I needed that.

[zerotohiro]

[That's. Really cute, Fie.]

Sure. I still have my hoodie so it's not that bad. And when the towel dries there's that, too. [...is he just going to let her stay bundled in his sheets? Yes, probably.]

[sylfied]

[ Fie's not cute how dare you even think of such a thing. She glances at him thoughtfully, though. ]

I can let you have one of them.

[ Fie, they're not even your sheets. ]

[zerotohiro]

Don't worry about it. Maybe later? [He's taking the towel to dry Salty, too.] There's still some time to warm up. Salty and I will be fine.

[sylfied]

Salty's always fine. [ but she'll drop the matter and snuggle back down properly, droopy-eyed.

... Okay, so it's been a long day. ]

[zerotohiro]

[A slight hum.]

Go to sleep, Fie. It's okay.

[sylfied]

[ There's a lot that isn't okay right now, and she doesn't think it's going to be okay anytime soon, but right now, she's wrapped in bedsheets, the dog is happy, and Hiro's here.

... Fie has also not actually moved back to the bed, so even though she hums in soft agreement, she's also just kind of listing to the side where she was sitting. On the floor. ]

[He nudges her with his foot.]

I meant the bed, dude. C'mon. Up.
